Nila grew up on water. The backwaters of Alappuzha were not scenery to her, they were family, the same way her grandmother Ammachi and her best friend Manju were family.
It was Ammachi who first showed her that water remembers everything it touches, and that the old stories about rivers being alive were never just stories.
Her cousin Manoj, in Kochi, was the first to see what she could do. What came after took her all the way to Smritivan, where Arth was already waiting.

Nila heals and commands water in all its forms: river, rain, or the water inside a living thing.

The source through which her power moves. Where Aarav needed none, Nila's power flows through hers.
Jalasura
A monster of choking waste, Jalasura creeps through rivers and seas, trapping everything that swims. He does not need to hunt. He only needs a town to keep pouring, a drain to keep running, a lake to be treated as somewhere things go to disappear. Every year he grows heavier, and every year the water carries a little less life.
